Buyer Terms
Operator: eTickets.im Limited, Cronk Breck, Grenaby, Isle of Man, IM9 3BD, company number 138830C.
Contact: support@etickets.im for ticketing support, governance@etickets.im for governance matters.
Governing law: Isle of Man law.
By reserving or buying a ticket through eTickets, you agree to these Buyer Terms. Please read them together with our Refund, Cancellation, Postponement and Rescheduling Policy and Privacy Policy.
1. What eTickets provides
eTickets provides a ticketing platform. We help promoters list events, take reservations or payments, issue digital tickets, provide QR-code admission tools, and support ticket retrieval. We are not the organiser of the event unless a page expressly says otherwise.
2. Two separate relationships
When you order through eTickets there are two separate relationships:
- Your contract for the event itself — admission to and delivery of the event — is with the event promoter or organiser. The promoter is responsible for the event, event information, entry conditions, event delivery, cancellation or rescheduling decisions, and refund decisions.
- Your contract with eTickets is for the platform and ticketing services we provide: reservation, access to checkout and payment, and the issue and delivery of your digital ticket. These Buyer Terms govern that relationship.
Depending on the event, eTickets or the promoter is the merchant of record for the payment (see section 5). The merchant of record is the party that takes payment and handles chargebacks and payment disputes, but responsibility for the event and for refund decisions stays with the promoter except where the law requires eTickets to act.
3. Event information
Promoters are responsible for event names, descriptions, dates, venues, times, age limits, ticket types, prices, allocations, and any event-specific conditions. You should check the event page carefully before ordering.
4. Buying or reserving tickets
At checkout you may be asked for your name, email address, phone number, and, where the promoter requires it, ticket-holder names or membership numbers. Paid orders are completed through PayPal-powered checkout. Free events may be reserved without a payment step.
Once the order is confirmed, eTickets sends a confirmation email with a ticket link and makes QR-code tickets available online. Each QR code is unique and should not be shared publicly.
5. Payments
PayPal may offer PayPal account, card, Google Pay, or Apple Pay payment options depending on eligibility and platform configuration. eTickets does not receive or store full card numbers.
Depending on the event and promoter setup, eTickets or the promoter may be the merchant of record for payment purposes. Chargebacks and PayPal disputes are handled by the merchant of record, but event and refund decisions remain the promoter's responsibility unless the law requires otherwise.
6. Fees
The checkout page shows the ticket price and any booking fee before payment. Booking and platform fees vary by event and promoter arrangement.
7. Entry and QR codes
Bring your digital ticket or printed QR code to the event. Door staff may scan each QR code and may check any event-specific requirements such as age, membership, or identity where the event requires it. A QR code may be refused if it has already been scanned, has been voided, has been refunded, or is not valid for the selected event.
8. Refunds and event changes
Refunds, cancellations, postponements, and rescheduling are covered in the Refund, Cancellation, Postponement and Rescheduling Policy. The default position is that promoters do not offer refunds except where they are at fault or the event is cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled in a way that requires a refund or alternative.
Tickets for an event on a specific date are a supply of leisure services for a particular date, so the statutory 14-day cancellation ("cooling-off") right that applies to many online purchases does not apply to them. This does not affect your other legal rights, including your right to a refund where an event is cancelled or not provided as described. Nothing in these terms removes statutory rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Support
For event-specific questions, contact the promoter. For ticket-link, QR-code, payment-page, or platform issues, contact support@etickets.im. See Support and Complaints.
10. Our responsibility to you
We will provide the eTickets platform and ticketing services with reasonable skill and care. We are responsible for foreseeable loss and damage caused by our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable skill and care, but we are not responsible for:
- the event itself, its content, delivery, cancellation, or rescheduling, which are the promoter's responsibility;
- loss or damage that is not foreseeable, or that is caused by events outside our reasonable control; or
- indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit, revenue, or opportunity.
Where we are liable to you in connection with a ticket order, our total liability is limited to the total amount you paid through eTickets for that order. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version number and "last updated" date at the top of the page show the current version. The terms that applied when you placed your order continue to govern that order.
12. Availability and governing law
eTickets is intended for use in the Isle of Man and the United Kingdom. These terms, and any dispute arising from them, are governed by Isle of Man law and subject to the courts of the Isle of Man.
