Getting Started
This page walks you through accepting your invite, logging in for the first time, and finding your way around the portal.
First login — accepting your invite
There are two kinds of invite depending on whether you already have an eTickets portal account.
New account (no existing portal access)
- You will receive an invite email from eTickets containing a unique link. The link is valid for 48 hours.
- Click the link. You will be taken to the Set Password page. Choose a strong password and submit.
- If your account has access to only one organisation you are logged in automatically and taken to the Dashboard. If you have access to multiple organisations, an organisation-selection screen appears — click the one you want to work in.
Existing account (already on the platform)
- You will receive a notification email confirming you have been added to the new organisation. There is no password-setup step — your existing password works immediately.
- Log in at the portal. If you now belong to more than one organisation, an organisation-selection screen appears after entering your password. Click the organisation you want to work in.
If your 48-hour invite link has expired, ask your Organisation Admin (or the eTickets team if you are the first admin) to send a new invite. This only applies to new accounts — existing-account notifications do not contain a link to expire.
Forgotten password
If you cannot remember your password, click Forgot your password? on the login page. Enter your email address and click Send reset link. If an account exists for that email, a reset link is sent — the link is valid for 1 hour.
The reset confirmation screen always reads the same way regardless of whether the email is recognised, to prevent account enumeration. If you do not receive the email within a few minutes, check your spam folder or contact your Organisation Admin.
Switching between organisations
If your account belongs to more than one organisation, the organisation name in the portal header becomes a dropdown button. Click it to see all your organisations and select a different one. The portal reloads in the context of the selected organisation — your role and permissions update to match your role in that organisation.
You remain logged in when switching organisations. Use Logout in the header to end your session entirely.
The Dashboard
The Dashboard is the first screen you see after logging in. It gives you a quick overview of your account:
- KPI tiles — total revenue, tickets sold, and upcoming event count for your organisation.
- Alerts panel — any events that are missing configuration (e.g. no active ticket types).
- Upcoming events list — your next events in date order, with direct links to guest lists.
Portal navigation
The left sidebar contains all sections of the portal. Sections you can see depend on your role. Users with the Viewer role have a simplified interface with no sidebar — they see only a My Events page listing the events an admin has shared with them.
| Section | What it contains |
|---|---|
| Dashboard | KPI overview and upcoming events |
| Events | Create and manage event instances |
| Venues | Create, edit, and archive your venues |
| Ticket Types | Reusable ticket type label templates |
| Guest Lists | Attendee lists and check-in for each event |
| Sales | Revenue and order detail by event |
| Statement | Financial activity and reconciliation |
| Profile | Your public promoter page settings |
| Team | Manage users in your organisation |
| Settings | Default values for new events |
