Sharing your event: links and QR codes
Every event has a public link on etickets.im. You can copy it, or download a QR code to print on posters and flyers or post on social media. Scanning the code opens that event's ticket page.
Get the link or QR code for an event
- Go to Events in the portal.
- Select Share on the event.
- Download the QR code as SVG (best for print: it stays sharp at any size) or PNG (for social media), or select Copy link.
You can do this before tickets go on sale. The link never changes, even if you edit the event's name, venue, date, prices or image, so a printed code keeps working.
You need permission to edit events to use Share.
What people see when they scan
The Share dialog tells you what a scan shows right now:
| When | What the customer sees |
|---|---|
| Tickets are on sale | The normal ticket page |
| Before tickets go on sale | The event details and "Tickets go on sale {date and time}", with a button to add the on-sale time to their calendar. In the last hour there's a countdown, and the page reloads when sales open. |
| After online sales close | "Online ticket sales for this event have closed." |
| After the event | "This event has already taken place", with a link to your upcoming events |
| No active ticket types | "Tickets aren't available yet. Check back soon." |
Every page also links to your other events.
Separate codes for posters, flyers and social media
In the Share dialog, fill in Where will this be used? (for example poster, flyer or instagram) and select Update. Each label makes a different code for the same event, so eTickets can see which placements bring people to your page. Use lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens only, and never put names or email addresses in a label.
Share all your events
On your Profile page, select Share your events page for a link and QR code to your page listing all your upcoming events.
Printing tips
- Print the code at least 2 cm × 2 cm.
- Leave the white border around the code: phones need it to read the code.
- Always scan a test print with a phone before printing in bulk.
