Promoter Guide
This guide covers everything a promoter needs to run events with eTickets: creating and managing events, configuring venues and ticket types, viewing guest lists, tracking sales, and managing your team.

What you can do in the portal
- Create and edit events with multiple ticket types per occurrence
- Manage venues and reusable ticket type templates
- View guest lists and check in attendees on the door
- Track sales revenue by event, and drill into individual orders
- View and reconcile your financial statement
- Customise your public promoter page (profile, notices, logo)
- Invite team members and control what they can access
Roles
Access is controlled by role. Each user in your organisation is assigned exactly one role.
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Organisation Admin | Full access: events, venues, guest lists, sales, statement, profile, and team management. Can invite users and change roles. |
| Event Manager | Create and edit events and venues. View and print guest lists. Cannot access sales or statement. |
| Finance Manager | View sales summary, order detail, and financial statement. Cannot create or edit events. |
| Scanner | Door staff role. Gets a full-screen scanning interface: camera QR scanning, manual check-in, and live attendance list. Can open and close entry for events. Cannot access any other part of the portal. |
| Viewer | Read-only access to specific events granted by an admin. Sees a simplified view — ticket sales, a sales timeline, and gross revenue per event — with no sidebar navigation. Cannot see full order detail, issue refunds, or view financial statements. See Team for granting event access. |
| Box Office | Sells tickets in person across all live events via the POS app (card + cash), and can scan entry. Picks the event per sale. |
| Door Operator | Sells tickets in person for one pinned event via the POS app (card + cash), and can scan entry. See Team for pinning their event. |
